Before half term Reception Class watched a video of the ‘Little Boat’, which is launched, but we don’t know by whom or from where. The story is told from the point of view of the boat as it sets off on a journey where it sees and experiences lots of different things, such as sailing past an island, and through a storm, and ending up with it’s sail being repaired by some birds.

The children pretended to be the boat and wrote postcards to their classmates about when then had sailed past the island. They focused on using their phonics to support their spelling and worked hard to use the correct letter formation.
