Reception Class: Let’s Celebrate, Week 2

This week we have continued our topic of ‘Let’s Celebrate’ by looking at birthdays and baptisms. We have enjoyed reading the story ‘Kipper’s Birthday’ by Mick Inkpen. We have made birthday cards, party invitations, wrapped up presents and made party hats for Kippers birthday party. We also made a cake for his birthday – it was delicious! We sang happy birthday to Kipper and have enjoyed talking about, and sharing, our own birthday celebrations. We compared our birthdays and identified similarities and differences between them.

In RE we went to church to learn more about Baptism. Deacon Pat helped us and we baptised baby Poppy Williams! In RE we went to church to learn more about Baptism.
