Reception Class Forest School: Repelling the Rotten Romans!

Reception Class last visited the Forest School area just after Year 3 had had their Roman-themed outdoor learning session. Consequently Reception found lots of evidence of their occupation! There was red and blue paint and signs of Roman shelter building. The children immediately decided to take action to make sure those Rotten Romans didn’t return and worked together to plan how to keep them out. After this they put their plans into action by building traps, blocking up animal holes and dismantling their shelters.

Afterwards there was time to build their own camps, search for buried treasure (sparkly leaves), digging, climbing and hide and seek. What a fantastic afternoon. Thank you Mrs Andrews.
