In class Reception have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk and basing their learning on the story. They carried this theme on in Forest School too, hunting for numbered beans, whilst doing their best to avoid any lurking giants! The beans were not only numbered, but were different colours and shapes.
Once all of the children had found a bean, they worked together to put themselves in order, according to the beans they had found. They them described the pattern they had made.
Afterwards they enjoyed strengthening their arm and finger muscles by working in the digging area.
Thank you Mrs Andrews for a lovely afternoon of outdoor learning.
