Reception Class really enjoyed their final Forest Session of the year. They cut down some long nettles, learning how to do this safely, took off the leaves, beat the stems, then pulled the fibres apart and learned how to plait them. They used the fibres to make cordage/rope, then plaited their greenery together to make a bracelet for Theodore’s birthday!

Afterwards the class talked about the benefits of nettle tea and soup!
