At Forest School last week, Reception class went on a gingerbread man hunt. When they had found a gingerbread man, they counted to see how many buttons he had, and used their knowledge of emotions to decide how their gingerbread man was feeling, based on his expression. They came up with some excellent possibilities for what had caused the emotions they spotted.
At the end there was a gingerbread man picnic, where everyone enjoyed eating the gingerbread men that they had bought at the bakery, with some yummy hot chocolate!
