Reception Class: Easter

As the Easter season continued, Reception Class were very busy last week writing and illustrating the Easter story. They did a fantastic job and hung the pages of the book up on a washing line across the classroom so they could read it with their friends.

The children have been working hard on developing their reading skills during guided reading sessions with their teachers and in maths they were comparing numbers.

They had a fantastic Forest School session, using magnifying glasses to explore the nature around them and in Physical Development and PSE they focussed on keeping healthy. They sorted pictures of healthy and unhealthy foods and worked in pairs to create posters.

As part of understanding the world around them, they also had a wonderful surprise visit from ‘Princess George’; Mrs Elcocks’ tortoise!
