During their last Forest School session of the term, Reception Class took part in an Easter egg hunt. The eggs had been hidden in some really tricky places, but the children were amazingly eagle-eyed and left no stone unturned until they had found them all. As the Easter Bunny had numbered the eggs, the children enjoyed the additional challenge of putting themselves in numerical order, according to the number on the egg that they were holding. It took a lot of talking and problem solving, but they were a fantastic team and managed to correctly complete the numberline in record time! Mrs Andrews then swapped each paper egg cut-out for a mini chocolate egg from a basket that the Easter Bunny had left for the children.

Afterwards Mrs Andrews showed the children how to make knots in string and the children worked together to make their own knots which have been used in their collaborative artwork that they made for the Abbey’s Easter Wreath exhibition.
