Already this year they have organised and run a sponsored fitness day, led by GB athlete Meghan Beesley, which raised £1200. Half of the money raised went to support the GB athletics team and the Sports Council spent the rest on PE equipment that they chose from the Sport for Schools organisation catalogue. The event inspired all the pupils at the school and were very motivated by Meghan’s motto: “Don’t worry that your best won’t be good enough. Have a go at everything, don’t quit, try your hardest and you will have no regrets.”
