After school today, Mrs. Williams and five pupils went up to the parish hall to take part in the first Parish Tea event. The parish is trying to make these teas a monthly event in order to provide a social gathering and some company for some of the more isolated, elderly people in our parish and wider community, who are finding it hard to get out and about. The children chatted with the elderly people who were there and treated them (on request) to an impromptu concert! They were well rewarded for their efforts with cake and squash!
If you know of anyone who is isolated, for whatever reason, please contact the parish. Also, please let them know if you are able to help out in any way; they are looking for people tp help with transport and to help with providing the teas, coffees and conversation in the hall.
