Preschool have been thinking about how we can keep ourselves healthy. The children used glitter to represent germs and learned how important it is to wash their hands properly.
During the week the children had a tooth brushing activity where children used whiteboard pens to make teeth ‘dirty’ then cleaned the marks off with a toothbrush. Another activity saw the children use different tooth brushes to make marks with brushes and glittery white paint.
In maths the children matched dots and numerals to complete the tooth puzzle.
Continuing Creation in RE the class looked at where the story is in the Bible, and learned a new song: ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’. Children drew pictures to retell the Creation story, and acted it out. They even wowed Mrs Williams by retelling it to her!
When talking about healthy eating the children asked questions about what happens to our food after we have eaten it. They created a science demonstration to think about our bodies digesting the food, and where it travels afterwards!
