Last week Hopscotch learned the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle. The children learned that the moon is a sphere, and tried to find different spheres around the classroom. The children and staff talked about the mathematical properties of the shape and used balls to paint pictures by rolling and dabbing in paint. The children began to measure spoons using blocks and other items around them.
During RE the children thought about the people who are in the church family and the kindness we should show each other. They role played saying sorry and the different actions they could have.
The children’s mark making continues to get better and better. They have practised holding pencils using a secure pencil grip and using the interactive white board to write the letters in their names.
