Hopscotch pre-school visited Webbs Garden Centre on Tuesday, to find out the answers to some of the children’s questions about fish.
Before looking at the fish we saw some other animals. There were some fluffy looking rabbits, that made us laugh. We also saw some other small animals that we didn’t know the name of. After spending some time guessing, the experts working in the shop told us they were guinea pigs. They also let us see some other small animals and we even held a millipede!
We noticed some of the fish tanks were warm, and some were cold. The lady who works at Webbs told us about different types of fish; some were cold water, like our goldfish at school, and some were tropical and needed warm water. We watched while the assistant caught four fish for us, and we safely brought them home to live in our class fish tank.
