This week in pre-school it was Dinosaur Week! The children really enjoyed listening to some stories with dinosaurs in them, especially ‘The Dinosaur That Pooped a Princess’, ‘The Dinosaur That Pooped a Fairy’ and ‘The Dinosaur That Pooped a Bed’!
One of the highlights of the week was painting the bottom of dinosaur footprint cut outs and wearing them on their feet, walking on paper to make dino-prints.
The children enjoyed dinosaur-related imaginative play, painting dinosaurs, colour matching spots on dinosaurs, using shapes and blocks to make pictures and models of dinosaurs and counting dinosaurs!
The younger children spent some time working on developing their muscles through gross motor skills activities like rolling tyres, carrying planks, digging and throwing.
