Pre-school Christmas Week 2

During the last week of term learning in pre-school was based around the exciting time of Christmas. They had lots of fun with games of pass-the-parcel and musical statues. Theu had a treasure hunt for golden chocolate coins in their Forest School adventures with Mrs Andrews, using their new prepositional language to describe where they found them.

Lots of Christmas Nativity songs were sung, using big voices and staff were so proud of the children’s excellent behaviour when being filmed!

For mark making the children made wrapping paper patterns on drawn Christmas presents and talked about what they had put on their Christmas list for Father Christmas. At circle time a little elf made an appearance and then watched over the children and staff for the remainder of the session.

In the construction area the children used blocks to follow and construct around the outline of a Christmas tree and then extended this into free construction throughout the week, with some fabulous creations made.

And as if all that wasn’t enough, they also found time to scoop and count as they made reindeer food together and later used the carrots within their role play!

Wow! What a busy week! Happy Christmas Everyone.
