Weekly Pre-school Catch-up

This week in pre-school we started our Christmas activities. The children enjoyed the story of ‘The Snowball’ and thought about the things they could do if it snowed here. Everyone also had a go at decorating the Christmas tree and placing the star at the top.

Toyah created a Christmas memory wall, which displays lots of photographs of last Christmas. This has given us an opportunity to talk about past experiences and our families.

The children have been practicing the Christmas Nativity songs, are getting very good at remembering all the words and actions.

As it was Toyah’s birthday on Monday and the children played pass the parcel and musical statues with her; showing their fantastic sharing, turn taking and listening skills. They also used playdough to make candles to put on birthday cakes and used their counting skills to make sure they put on the right number!

We enjoyed Forest School with Mrs Andrews, exploring our new environment; digging, climbing and playing with the bird call toys.

Our Christmas adventures continue next week!
