Sports & PE

At Holy Redeemer Sports and P.E. have a very high profile,

At Holy Redeemer sports and PE have a very high profile. Our children love PE and sport and this enthusiasm and ethos alongside our excellent provision, are ably led by Mrs Annis, Mrs Porter and our Sports Council (elected by their classmates each year). Mrs Annis is our dedicated PE teacher, and teaches a lot of the class PE lessons, and is supported by Mrs Porter, our Sports and PE teaching assistant. This provision is enhanced by specialist coaches in some areas (cricket, tennis, football, rugby) and by our own Mrs Anderson who is a qualified netball and yoga coach. Mrs Annis is also our swimming coach.

Across the year we enter lots of tournaments, festivals and events in a wide range of sports and PE areas. Wherever possible we take as many teams as we can.

This year we are running before, or after, school clubs in netball, football, yoga, fitness, cross country running, fitness, basketball, hockey and dance.

Here are just a few of the additional sporting and PE opportunities that our pupils have had (click in the boxes to follow the links:

Previous Sporting Success

We are also a very competitive school. Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter work hard with the children in lessons, but also at before and after school clubs and in team training sessions, to make sure that the children are well prepared for matches and competitions. Consequently, our teams perform very well, winning lots of medals and cups so many in fact that we've had to but a bigger trophy cabinet!
Take a look at just a few of our recent sporting successes...
