Another wonderful day in the garden today! Lots of very impressed visitors enjoyed their guided tours, followed by home made cake and a cup of tea. The children and their enthusiasm and knowledge were, as always, much mentioned in the visitor book, as was the variety of plants and of course the cakes:
“Amazing! We love the gardens and all the children have been very helpful and enthusiastic. Lovely atmosphere and wish we were back at school.” (Louise, Margaret and Linda, from Pershore.
“The gardens are amazing. Remarkable to see the variety of plants – flower, fruit and vegetables in a relatively small space. A great learning experience for all the children.” (Diana and Mike, Worcester)
“Thank you very much to all the hard-working adults and pupils, for the extremely welcome cups of tea, cakes and garden. All very impressive.” (D & J Evans)
We did a roaring trade on teas, coffee and cake across the afternoon, sold lots of plants and raised £790.91 in donations, which will be used to further develop the garden.
