Open Garden Volunteers Visit Bob’s Garden

On Friday Mrs Sanders and Mrs Elcocks took a group of our school gardening volunteers over to visit Bob Hare’s garden. Bob’s garden had been open last weekend, as part of the Pershore Open Gardens event, but because the School garden was also open, the children and staff were so busy showing our School garden that they were unable to visit any of the other gardens. Bob was kind enough to open his garden for a private viewing for us.

The children and staff who went had a wonderful visit and were, as always, amazed at the depth of Bob’s knowledge and skill when it comes to all things plant related. The children especially enjoyed looking in Bob’s wildlife pond and exploring the hidden away spaces.

As a thank you to Bob, for sharing all of his time and expertise over very many years, to help us with the School garden, the children took Bob a card and a box of chocolates.

Thank you Bob!
