National Poetry Day 2020

Today, in Year 6, we shared our favourite poems with the class. There were lots of giggles as some of them were quite funny. Anya’s monologue was amazing. When we had finished, we looked at the poems on the National poetry day website. The theme this year was ‘Vision’. We then chose the poem we liked best and wrote our own poems in that style. We hope you enjoy reading them. More will be added to the class page later as some of our poets haven’t quite finished their creations.

Splendid Sight

I saw a mushroom with its

Huge hat.

I saw a bush wearing a

Lime suit.

I saw an eagle trying to

Spy a mouse.

I saw a snowflake flutter

Down to earth.

I saw a man who saw a

Splendid sight.
