Rossholme in Kenya is a primary school in the Kiambiu slum in Nairobi. Rossholme provides free education for all those children in the community aged between 3 and 12 who cannot afford fees and also provides free breakfast and a lunch meal which, for many of the children, is their only food of the day.

Last year Parishioner and School volunteer, Anne Halliday, asked us if we would support her in collecting toys, books, learning materials and stationery to send to Rossholme School, as they were in need of these things. The children and staff were of course keen to help and we collected together several boxfuls of items, which Anne packaged up (along with donations from other local schools) and sent via container. 

Earlier this term the boxes finally arrived at the school, causing great excitement!

Thank you for the text books, exercise books, toys, graph paper, files and many other learning materials! We’re indeed grateful and please extend our gratitude to the schools that donated. May the Lord bless you abundantly.

Now we’ve story books to read and this means that we now need a spacious new library. We pray that God will provide!
