Lest We Forget Concert at the Genting Arena Saturday 3rd November 2018

19 Year 6 pupils sang their hearts out at the Lest We Forget national concert. This was a one-off concert commemorating the armistice of WW1. Along with over 2000 other school children and groups all around the country, our pupils sang popular songs from WW1. They have been learning these over the past 5 weeks in preparation for this event and for a school concert, taking place on 9th November. They arrived at 11.30am to commence rehearsals, spent the day practising songs, watching other groups perform and finally, taking part in the main concert which commenced at 6.00pm.There was a large audience of about 2500 people.

This large concert at the NEC also featured a double orchestra, the Sandwell Brass Band, Pipers and Drummers from Kings Lynne, the Leicester Show Choir, Birmingham Guitar Orchestra and many other groups. It was a marvellous and moving occasion and one from which the Year 6 pupils will have many memories. Again our Year 6 pupils were excellent ambassadors for the school.
