Leavers’ Assembly

Last week our Leavers took us on a trip back in time as they shared some of their favourite memories from each of their years at Holy Redeemer. There was laughter as they dramatised the day in Reception when when Maddison brought her ‘crazy’ dog in, and when Pryce ran off into the woods during their Year 3 trip up Bredon Hill, they amazed us with their beautiful poetry and prayers and then had us in tears (as always) as they sang Goodbye My Friend to finish off.

After the tears were dried Mrs Williams, Mr Lister and Mrs Annis awarded the Year 6 trophies and shields for sport, music, maths, literacy, eco, prefect of the year, flourish and grow and pupil of the year, among others. They have all been such amazing pupils that Mrs Williams wished she had a trophy for each of them.

The children were also given a book each, called ‘You are Amazing’ and a dictionary from the Rotary Club, which we very much hope they will enjoy.

The children’s assembly was a testament to the many staff who’ve made an impression on them over the years and who they wanted to thank for their motivation and skilled teaching, so it feels appropriate here to add the School’s thank you to all the staff who have worked with the class over their time at Holy Redeemer and who contributed to them developing into such well rounded and successful pupils who’ve fulfilled the school mission statement to become great people who make a difference in the world.
