Everyone in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 took part in a sports morning at Pershore Leisure Centre. The children took part in a variety of events including; obstacle relays, throwing, jumping and sprinting. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and teamwork demonstrated by everyone.

The Sports Council did a wonderful job of organising the races and supporting and encouraging the younger children. They also awarded certificates to children displaying the school games values of : self belief, determination, passion, honesty, team work and respect (an important element of our Catholic Social Teaching aspect of ‘Dignity of the Human Person’).

The points were close throughout the morning and  competition was fierce. In the end the Michael Phelps Team were victorious and finished just 3 points ahead of their 2nd place rivals. The teachers verses Year 6 race was very exciting, but the teachers were defeated this year-congratulations to Year 6.

Thank you to all of the children taking part and to Mrs Annis & Mrs Porter, the rest of the staff, and the Sports Council, for organising and running the event.
