The first well-being club session was great. The children engaged brilliantly and were respectful to one another’s ideas and thoughts.
They started the session with some mindfulness art and Miss Taylor and Mrs Maclean checked in on them all to talk about how their day had been. Afterwards they read The Colour Monster, and focused on the red colour-anger. The children reflected on how anger makes them feel and act inside and out, and then shared these ideas in a circle time, where they discussed strategies to help them if we do feel angry and how they can help themselves in these moments.
Thank you to Miss Taylor for running this fantastic new club and to Mrs Maclean for supporting her and the children.
