iSingPop Event at Worcester Cathedral

The voices of over 500 children raised the 13th century roof of Worcester Cathedral on Thursday 15th October. Pupils in years 4 to 6 were invited to take part in a special ecumenical music event where they not only sang their hearts out, but also worked on some dance movements as well. Not only did the day involve elements of music and dance, but also aspects of PSHE, citizenship and, of course, RE.

The day was organised by iSingPop and was led by three enthusiastic vocal coaches. The singing workshop was very energetic and all the pupils learnt catchy and contemporary songs filled with positive Christian lyrics. All the pupils also received excellent tours of the cathedral where they learnt about its history and how the monks lived and worked all those centuries ago.
The day culminated with a concert where the pupils sang their songs and listened to the contemporary Christian group ‘The Sunshine Girl Band’.
