Recently a team of children took part in an indoor Athletics event at Pershore High School. There were 8 teams competing (many of them much larger middle schools). Every child gave a fantastic performance, securing valuable points for our school team.

 

The children competed in a range of events including; sprinting, relays, triple jump, long jump, javelin, speed bounce and more. The team were confident in the events, having trained well for them beforehand, and supported their friends and teammates with great enthusiasm.

 

Holy Redeemer girls finished in 3rd place and the boys in 1st position. The boys will go on to represent South Worcestershire in the School Games Finals. Well done to both teams – we are very proud of your sporting achievements! 

 

Thanks to Pershore High for hosting the event and the Young leaders doing a great job organising and encouraging the children. Thanks also to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for preparing and training the children so well for all of the events.
