This week we have based our learning around The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. In Maths we have been focusing on exploring which two numbers add together to make 10; this has included a number bond hunt around the classroom and using the ten frames. On the modelling table the boys enjoyed creating their own caterpillars, others used their imagination and creativity on the creation station. Meanwhile, some children used the tuff spot, caterpillar finger puppets and a small world scene, to retell the story together. As part of our challenge passports the children have been practising their phonics by writing labels for objects and writing silly sentences containing two of the objects. On the finger gym we have been carefully threading leaves.
