This week we have been continuing our learning based on the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We made fruit kebabs and then wrote instructions on how to make them. We are becoming fantastic independent writers, focusing on capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and using our phonics to write our words! We have also been sharing a range of non-fiction books to find out information about minibeasts and transport.
In Maths we have been finding out about 3D shapes and, as part of our challenge passports, we have been designing and then making models using lots of different 3D shapes. We have also been continuing our knowledge of number bonds to 10.
In art we have been exploring printing on fabric and discovering which 2D shapes are made when you print with 3D shapes.
In RE we have been finding out about the special celebration that happens every Sunday at church – Mass. We looked carefully at lots of pictures and books to find out what happens during this wonderful celebration.
