Last night a whole host of intrepid families arrived at school over four evening sessions in order to be locked in! They were locked in the hall, with Mr Hawtree, and worked in family groups to solve historical puzzles. Each puzzle solved released part of a numerical code. Once all the digits in the code had been collected they needed to be rearranged into the correct order and shown to the gate keeper, who tried the combination in the lock. Only once the correct combination of the correct digits had been shown could families escape!
It was a great evening, enjoyed by all who came along. Mr Hawtree has a Horrible Geography Escape Room planned for January, so please sign up for that if you haven’t already done so.
So far the Escape Rooms Events have raised £50, which Mr Hawtree plans to spend on History and Geography resources. Thank you to Mr Hawtree for all his hard work preparing the puzzles and for being the game master on the night.
