A huge thank you to Mark Riley, from Creative States, for a fantastic workshop yesterday. Mark is a community artist, who has a focus on using recycled and natural materials and uses a broad range of 2D and 3D techniques in his work, including drawing, painting, collage, clay, puppets, willow, and tree dressing to name a few. A core value of his work is for the participants in his workshops to lead the process of creating and making.
The children were all very enthusiastic and had a wonderful time. They each made mini Christmas trees, drew a design which they transferred to polystyrene and then printed, and drew Christmas designs on small wood cuts.
