Today the children enjoyed an afternoon of health and well-being. The theme of the assembly was reducing time on electronics and replacing this with other activities. We looked at the negative effects on our health if we spend too long on devices, met Mr Couch Potato and enjoyed the story of how he turned his life around to become more active.
The children then went into their groups to do a range of activities including; mindfulness colouring, yoga, making shoebox bedrooms, playing board games, litter picking, active games and more. Everyone had loads of fun and enjoyed working with a variety of children from across their Key Stages. We hope the children will now try to reduce their screen time moving forward.
Thank you to Mrs Annis for planning and organising the afternoon, and to all of the staff who led the activities.
