The Friends of Avon Meadows have asked school to pass on a huge thank you to all those who supported this event. Over 30 people turned out for a guided walk with a very respectable £62 raised. Please see quote from walk guide, Liz Etheridge:
“It was an absolute pleasure to meet everyone and weren’t we blessed with the weather? Thank you for supporting us, it means a lot that people care enough to help us put the dipping platform back and hopefully make the replacement even better for schools and families to use in the future”.
These photos were taken by one of the children on the day. One is of the first sign of spring, known as a Lesser Celandine Ranunculus ficaria, and the other is a Greater Burdock Arctium lappa, with a gorgeous blue sky backdrop.
