Last week we had a special day, in school, where the children and staff came to school either dressed in national costumes, or in the flag colours/football strip, of a country that they felt a connection to. Many children chose a country that members of their family were from, others chose a country that they were interested in, or admired.
It was wonderful to see so many colourful and interesting outfits and to spend the day finding out about each other’s countries and celebrating the national heritage of our school community. It was a great way to feel connected to our wider global community.
We all brought in £1 for coming in our own clothes, and this money will go to CAFOD as part of our Lenten fundraising.
