Last week, in Year 1, it was Gingerbread Man Week and the children used the book to inspire their learning across the curriculum. The role play corner became ‘Granny’s Kitchen’, the children ordered numbered gingerbread men, counted gingerbread men, wrote their own version of the story, made gingerbread men and even tested what happens to gingerbread men when left in different liquids! No wonder that Gingerbread Man ran away!
