Over the last couple of weeks the children at Gardening Club have been working hard to get the garden ready for winter. They have harvested the last of the produce (including grapes and potatoes), dug over the beds, cut back some of the plants and cleared weed from the pond, showing what great stewards of our planet they are.
As an autumn treat, after the last potatoes were harvested, Val baked them for the children to eat-delicious!
Thank you to the Parish volunteers who opened up the Church car park over the Plum Festival weekend again this year. They once again this year donated the funds to the Eco Garden and Bob used the money to buy a cold frame, which Gardening Club helped him to put together. We are all very excited to see what we will be able to grow in it next spring!
Thank you, as always, to Bob & Val, and their Parish volunteers, without whom we would find it very difficult to maintain our beautiful garden, and to Mrs Sanders and Mrs Andrews in school, who support the children so well. It is wonderful to work together, children, staff and Parish, as a family & community.
