This week we have have focused mainly on farms and farm animals. There were opportunities for the children to weigh, measure and sort farm animals, create barns/homes for animals, observe animals at forest school, use plastic farm animals to make hoof print pictures, create tractors from shapes, read books with farm animals in them and milk a pretend cow! We have also been doing some large mark making to support the children’s early writing, using chalks in the outside classroom and via ‘Squiggle While you Wiggle’ making marks in foam. The children especially enjoyed the story ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’. Let’s hope it hasn’t inspired them to invite any farm animals home to live with them…
We always look forward to hearing from you. You may contact us in a number of ways...
