A massive congratulations to the five children who represented Holy Redeemer in the English Schools Swimming competition at the weekend in Sheffield.
The children all displayed excellent swim technique, confidence and team spirit.
In the medley relay the team were disqualified which prevented them taking a well deserved place in the B final. This set back did not deter team spirit and they went on to deliver a second outstanding performance in the front crawl relay. They qualified for the B final and then in a very exciting race went on to win the B final.A team was disqualified in the A final which meant Holy Redeemer finished in 8th place.
This is 8th place nationally which is an awesome achievement. We are very proud of our swimmers and delighted with their achievement. It is also fantastic to see more children across the school joining swimming and life saving club.
Thank you to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for their fantastic swimming coaching and for taking the children to the event.
