The Education Endowment Foundation and Wellcome Trust are funding a Year 5 science trial. Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School has been lucky enough to have been accepted as a partner in this exciting opportunity to participate in a national research project during 2019-2021. The project sets out to trial the effectiveness of The Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM), a developmental accreditation programme. PSQM enables primary schools to improve science teaching and learning through effective science leadership and supported school self – evaluation.
As this is a two year project both this year’s Year 3s and Year 4s will be involved in the project. Year 3 and 4 parents can find a copy of the parents letter on the Year 5 letters page, found under the ‘News’ tab at the top of the website. A paper copy will also be sent home.
Full details of the research project, provided by RAND Europe, independent evaluators, and the University of Hertfordshire, the PSQM delivery team, can be found here: http://redocuments.org/PSQM/Information_Sheet.pdf
