On Monday the Eco Council, and Mrs Barker, led an assembly to raise awareness of the environmental impact of today’s throw away/one-wear culture when it comes to clothes. The children were shocked to hear producing just one t-shirt created 2.6kg of carbon.
To help with this problem, the Eco Council are planning a pre-loved pop up children’s clothes shop on February 8th. Children will be able to bring in a small amount of money that day and buy an item of pre-loved clothing. After school the shop will be open again, but this time for parents to shop. They are in need of donations of unwanted children’s clothes and shoes please.
