Drum Workshop

Mr Lister writes:
Pupils in Key Stage 2 were put through their rhythmic paces on Tuesday 15th September. Well known local rhythm artist and drummer, Lee Evans, came into school for the day to teach our pupils some basic rhythms and get the ‘feel’ of what it might be like to be a drummer. Different types of drums were played including the snare, bass, tom-tom, gope and djembe. All the pupils were able to try out Mr Evan’s drum kit as well!

Pupils had the opportunity to experience live music, develop their rhythmic sense and understand how complicated some drumming can be. It is hoped that drum lessons will be offered at school in the near future.
