Before Easter Holy Redeemer took two teams to the Catholic Netball tournament at Blessed Edwards.
The Under 9 team won every match and came up against Winterfold in the final. It was a close game and at full time it was a 1:1 draw. Extra time was then played and the next basket won. Winterfold scored the winning basket and we were delighted with the silver medals and the teams outstanding play.
The Under 11 team won every game; including the final. Taking the gold medals and trophy made history for Holy Redeemer; we have only ever taken silver in previous years. Well done to the team on their fantastic performance and congratulations on tight marking, making it difficult for other teams to score.
It is great to see so many children attending netball and so many boys keen to play. Keep up all your enthusiasm and hard work and thank you to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for their fantastic coaching.
