Well done to all the children taking part in the Catholic Football Tournament at Winterfold. The Under 9 team won two games and lost 2 games, finishing in 3rd place, an excellent result.

The Under 11 team won 2 games and lost 2 games in the group stage. They went into the playoffs, winning the semi-final 3:0.

The final against St Ambrose was very exciting, finishing 0:0 after full and extra time! Holy Redeemer then faced a nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day and we lost on penalties, but we are extremely proud of our team for their resilience and for winning the silver medals.

Congratulations to all our wonderful footballers and thanks to Winterfold for hosting and running the event, and to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for their boundless support and energy for all things sport and PE related!
