Cross-Partnership Music Morning 2nd November 2017

On Thursday 2nd November 2017 over 100 pupils from three schools met together to take part in a singing workshop. This was held at King’s Hawford and was led by the three music teachers from the three schools – Mrs Hughes from King’s Hawford School, Mr Lister from Holy Redeemer RC Primary School and Mrs Martin from Sytchampton Endowed Primary School. The theme of the morning was ‘friendship’.

The aims of the morning were to work on singing skills, perform set songs and to listen and be an appreciative audience. The morning ended with a short concert given to parents and friends.

The programme was as follows:

All the pupils sang together Siya Hamba (trad.), Count on Me (Mars) and Friends! (Lister)

Holy Redeemer sang Tale as Old as Time (Menken) and Friends Together (Johnson).

King’s Hawford sang You’ve Got a Friend (Newman) and Stand by Me (King).

Sytchampton sang Rather Be (Glynn) and I’ll be There (Jackson 5).

Everyone enjoyed the morning and again Holy Redeemer pupils sang well and were great ambassadors for the school.
