On Monday Mr Johnson, Mrs Hall and fifteen members of the School Choir, visited Clive’s of Cropthorne to sing Christmas carols and songs for a Parkinson’s support group who were having a Christmas meal there. The children arrived in time to sing a half hour set while the group ate their deserts. Mr Johnson had put in a selection of new songs and more traditional ones so that the diners could join in, once they had finished eating.

Although there were only fifteen of them, they filled the cafe with song. Staff were extremely proud of their wonderful singing (including 3 soloists) and their impeccable behaviour. Well done Children.

The group who were the lucky audience, showed their appreciation by donating money to pay for the cost of the minibus hire, and a box of Quality Street for the children to share back at school.

It was wonderful to be able to bring some Christmas cheer and to be able to live our our Catholic Social Teaching principles of ‘Family & Community’, and ‘Options for the Poor & Vulnerable’:  “whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers and sisters, you did for me.’ Matthew 25: 40.
