In pre-school last week their chosen text was ‘There was an Old Lady’, a traditional tale that the children enjoyed learning about.  They used their phonic knowledge to try to orally segment animal words, and match initial sounds such as cat and cow.  Concept Cat

Last week Reception Class were very busy creating and writing their own stories based on Mr Gumpy’s Motor Car. First,  they explored different settings in which the story could be set and then added different animals and a different vehicle, to create their own story.
