Our BLP Council works alongside Mrs. Sanders in making sure that we are all developing and using our Building Learning Power characteristics. As a school BLP forms the core of our curriculum, with the content of each subject area woven through these vital life skills. The BLP Council plan and lead assemblies and work hard to make sure that all the children are striving to be the best that they can be in order to live out our mission statement and become ‘great people who make a difference in our world’. They also help us all work towards the other half of our mission statement; ‘to grow in faith and love’. In their assemblies, they talk a lot about being a good friend to everyone, just like Jesus taught us, and look out for children who are doing an especially good job of this, in order to award them a ‘Friends of the Fortnight’ certificate.
