British Science Week

British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths that will place between 11-20 March 2022! This year the theme is ‘Growth’

The PTA have been very busy behind the scenes and have secured a grant for the school. This grant is being used to part-fund a visit from a Royal Institution scientist (Friday 18th March). The day will start with an exciting Community Science Show, 9am-10am, for parents/carers, grandparents and younger siblings. This event is free of charge, but if parents wanted to make £1 donation towards the show, then the PTA would be grateful.

They have also organised sunflower kits for all of the children to take home to grow and later in the year there will be prizes, in various categories; more information about this will follow.

In honour of British Science Week and its ‘Growth’ theme, we are holding a non-school uniform day on Tuesday March 15th, where the children can come to school dressed as a scientist, anything they would like to be when they grow up, or anything at all that is inspired by nature and things that grow! We are asking the children to please bring in £1 on this day, to go towards the cost of the Royal Institute science visit.

Thank you, PTA for organising this!
