During science week Reception took the theme ‘Connections’ outside. They connected with each other as they worked as a team to build a bug hotel to encourage minibeasts and increase biodiversity on the school site. This was a great way for the children to connect with nature and make links between what they knew about different minibeasts, and what they needed to put into the bug hotel in order to meet the needs of the creatures they hope to attract.
