A team of children from Year 5 and 6 took part in an athletics tournament at Bowbrook School. The children took part in a rage of events on the track and field. It was great to see children having a go at new events, even winning ribbons in the high jump which they had not tried before. There were many track events ranging in distance.
Our children displayed great fitness in the longer distances, but also explosive starts in the sprint events. Everyone had a lovely afternoon and would definitely have won best supporting team with their cheering and encouragement of one another. The children excelled, winning many ribbons, and it was particularly good to see the smiles on the faces of children who were winning events for the first time.
A big thanks to Bowbrook for organising and running this fantastic event and to Mrs Annis and Mrs Porter for training the children.
